QWhy the Faculty of Informatics?
AIn high school I didn’t have one fixed target—I just felt programming looked interesting. Early in my third year, a teacher at my cram school told me Chiba University was launching a new informatics faculty, and I began considering it seriously.
QFirst Impressions After Enrolling
AI expected to be in front of a computer all day, but in the first year I was surprised by the many cross-disciplinary subjects—sports and health, design science, and more—alongside programming and data science basics.

QWhat I’m into Now
AProgramming classes are especially fun. The moment a program I wrote runs exactly as intended feels incredible.
QCourse Choice and Future Plans
AI haven’t decided my path yet, but I want to focus more intensely on programming and keep exploring until I find a direction that really fits. If you have even a little interest in programming or data science, I think this is a place where you can discover your own path.
