QWhy the Faculty of Informatics?

AI’ve been interested in programming since I was little, and in high school I joined a club focused on advanced IT. I also learned about Chiba University’s Frontier Science Program, which allows early admission after the second year of high school, and I decided to challenge it.

QFirst Impressions After Enrolling

AI expected science majors to be overwhelming, but I’ve been able to balance classes with clubs and part-time work. Having that time helps me study more steadily.

QWhat I’m into Now

AMy life is roughly: study 3, fitness 2, and club activities 5. I started playing bass in a light music club and I’m hooked. I also go to the gym twice a week to build stamina for research-focused life later.

QCourse Choice and Future Plans

AI’m still choosing between the Information Engineering Course (for security) and the Data Science Course (to become an analyst). Either way, I want to strengthen my programming skills and contribute to Japan’s future through data science.
