QWhy the Faculty of Informatics?

AIn high school I learned the basics of programming and IoT, and I started to feel that technology can expand what people are able to do. I chose this faculty because I can learn both information engineering and data science and apply them to real life.

QFirst Impressions After Enrolling

AI expected the faculty to be filled with students who simply love programming, but I found people with many different goals—business, content creation, and more. That diversity is motivating.

QWhat I’m into Now

AI want to understand AI more deeply, so I’ve started self-studying machine learning through books and online resources. I also browse programming contest sites to learn how people solve problems.

QCourse Choice and Future Plans

AI plan to enter the Data Science Course, strengthen my programming skills, and explore a path where I can build devices and systems that support things people struggle with—like remembering faces or managing daily tasks.

High School: Ochanomizu University High School (Tokyo)

Coming from an all-girls junior and senior high school, meeting students from across Japan has been refreshing. I also enjoy taking courses outside my main field, and I’m looking forward to the required study abroad program.
